DHMRF is deeply committed to empowering women at the grassroots level. Through its extensive work with organizations like the Maharashtra Niradhar and Devadasi Association, the foundation supports more than 100,000 registered active women members across Maharashtra. By acting as advisors and coordinators, we address the unique challenges faced by women in marginalized communities, helping them gain access to rights, resources, and opportunities for sustainable social progress.
Central to our approach is the promotion of women’s self-help groups, savings collectives, and boards. These groups encourage economic independence and teach women the importance of financial planning, collective saving, and entrepreneurship. By organizing and educating women in financial literacy and group management, DHMRF helps families become more self-reliant and resilient.
DHMRF actively works to raise awareness and mobilize action against outdated and exploitative practices such as the Devadasi system and other customs that harm women’s dignity and rights. Through widespread campaigns, training, and direct support, we guide marginalized women into the mainstream and help them break free from cycles of oppression.
We provide women with access to legal guidance, healthcare support, and social advocacy. DHMRF acts as a bridge between women and essential services—whether helping them navigate justice systems, access medical aid, or stand up for their rights in family and community spaces. Our foundation strives to ensure that every woman feels safe, respected, and supported on her journey.
Through leadership-building workshops and continuous mentoring, DHMRF inspires women to become agents of change within their families and communities. Many of our members serve as local advisors, coordinators, and trainers—extending the reach of empowerment initiatives and ensuring long-term, cascading impacts across generations.
